The Florida State Insurance Group website you’re currently using, including its forms and tools.
Privacy
Privacy policy.
A plain-language explanation of what this website actually collects, why, and what happens to it.
A visitor who browses this site, uses the calculator, or submits a form.
Information that identifies or could reasonably be linked to you, such as your name, email, or phone number.
A third-party platform we choose to deliver a message or feature (for example, a CRM or email system), acting on our behalf.
Information we may collect
This policy describes what this website is actually built to collect — not a hypothetical future version of it. Depending on how you use the site, we may collect:
- ✓Contact details you provide, such as your first and last name, email address, and phone number
- ✓The message you write and how you’d like us to reach you, if you use the contact form
- ✓Which type of coverage you’re asking about, and the property, vehicle, or vessel address or ZIP code you provide, if you complete a quote request
- ✓Any optional notes you add to a quote request
- ✓The IP address associated with a contact-form or quote-request submission, used briefly and only as described in “Data security” below
We do not collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, payment card details, health information, or other sensitive underwriting data through this website, and our forms do not ask for them. If a real insurer application is ever integrated into this site, that integration would collect only what the insurer’s licensed process requires, and this policy would be updated to describe it before it goes live.
The quick ZIP code or address field on the homepage’s quote-start widget is used only to check that you entered something reasonable before taking you to the full quote request page — that value is not transmitted to us or stored anywhere. Once you complete and submit the quote request form itself (coverage type, name, email, phone, address or ZIP, and any notes), that information is sent to our server and saved so a member of the agency can follow up. Your answers in the coverage calculator stay in your browser and are never sent to our servers; the tool says so on the page itself.
How information is collected
Information reaches us in a small number of ways:
- ✓The contact form, when you fill it out and submit it
- ✓The quote request form on the /quote page, when you complete and submit it
- ✓Any direct communication you have with us, such as a phone call or email you choose to send
- ✓Standard technical request information that any website receives simply by being visited (for example, your browser sending a request to our hosting provider) — this site does not layer additional tracking on top of that baseline
We do not currently use cookies, tracking pixels, or a third-party analytics service to collect information about your visit — see “Cookies and analytics” below.
How information is used
When you do submit information, we use it to:
- ✓Respond to your question or message
- ✓Help route a quote request to the right person once you’ve asked for one
- ✓Provide the site functionality you’re actively using, like showing your selected coverage type
- ✓Prevent abuse of our forms, such as automated spam submissions
- ✓Meet legitimate legal, recordkeeping, or compliance obligations where they apply
We do not use the information you submit to make automated decisions about your insurance eligibility or pricing — those determinations, if and when they happen, are made by a licensed carrier or agent, not by this website.
Sharing and service providers
This website is built so that a contact-form message is delivered to us through a single configured delivery service (for example, a CRM, agency-management platform, or email system) once the agency has selected and connected one. Until that delivery integration is configured, submissions are validated but not delivered anywhere, and you’re told that plainly on the form rather than shown a false confirmation.
Quote request submissions (your name, email, phone number, selected coverage type, address or ZIP code, and any notes) are saved to a database service provider used to operate this website. That provider stores the information on our behalf and does not independently use it for its own purposes.
There is no code on this website today that shares your information with insurance carriers, marketing partners, or data brokers. If we later connect a quoting platform or carrier system so that your request can be routed to them directly, we will update this section to name that integration and explain what’s shared with it before that feature goes live.
We do not have any mechanism on this website that sells the personal information submitted to us.
Cookies and analytics
As of today, this website does not set tracking cookies and does not send your activity to a third-party analytics or advertising service. The site includes a small internal event notification used only within your own browser session to help the interface respond to what you’re doing (like noting that you’ve started the calculator) — it is not connected to any analytics platform and nothing is transmitted off your device because of it.
If we adopt analytics, advertising, or other tracking technology in the future, we will update this section to describe what’s collected and, where required by law, provide a way for you to make choices about it before that technology is activated.
Data security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information submitted through this site, including basic protections against automated form abuse. That said, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please avoid sending sensitive information — like a Social Security number or payment details — through the general contact form.
As part of preventing abuse, our contact and quote forms briefly check the IP address a submission comes from to limit how many can be sent in a short period. That check happens in server memory to enforce the limit and is not compiled into a marketing or tracking profile.
Data retention
We keep information only as long as reasonably needed for the purpose it was collected for — generally, long enough to respond to your message or complete the request you made — or as long as applicable law requires. We have not set a single fixed retention period for every type of information, since the right length depends on the purpose and, where a message is forwarded to a connected delivery platform, that platform’s own retention settings. Once the agency finalizes its recordkeeping practices, this section can be updated with specific timeframes.
Children’s privacy
This website is intended for adults researching insurance coverage for themselves or their households. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, please contact us using the details below so we can remove it.
Your privacy choices
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding personal information collected about you — for example, the ability to ask what we have, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Because these rights vary by state and by law, and because eligibility for some state-specific privacy laws depends on factors like company size and data volume that haven’t yet been confirmed for this agency, we’re not asserting the applicability of any specific state privacy statute here. You’re welcome to contact us with any privacy request, and we’ll respond consistent with whatever law actually applies to us.
Third-party links
This site links to a small number of internal pages today, and is built to eventually link out to places like an insurance carrier’s site, a quote provider, a review platform, or a social media profile once those are configured. Any outside website you reach from a link on this site — including a carrier, portal, or social media page — has its own privacy practices, which we don’t control. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any external site before sharing information with it.
Policy updates
We may update this policy as the website’s actual functionality changes — for example, if we connect a new delivery integration or add analytics. We’ll update the effective date shown on this page whenever a substantive change is made, once the agency has finalized its review process for these pages. Material changes will be reflected here; we encourage you to check back periodically.
